PoreChecker collects minimal data. We do not use Google Analytics or any invasive tracking tools. Analytics: We use Umami, an open-source, privacy-focused analytics platform. Umami does not collect any personal data, does not use cookies, and fully complies with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR. It only gathers anonymous, aggregated usage statistics such as page views, referral sources, and device types — none of which can be used to identify you personally. Ingredient Analysis: When you scan or paste ingredients, the text is processed to match against our database. We do not store your ingredient queries or associate them with any personal information. Images: If you upload a product photo for ingredient scanning, the image is processed temporarily to extract ingredient text and is not permanently stored on our servers. Contact Form: If you send us a message through our contact form, we collect the content of your message to respond to your inquiry. We do not require you to provide an email address or any personal information unless you choose to include it.

Cookies

PoreChecker does not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Our analytics solution (Umami) is cookie-free. Your language preference may be stored in your browser to enhance your experience, but this does not involve any personal data.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Umami Analytics: For anonymous website usage statistics. Umami is privacy-focused and does not track individual users. Learn more at umami.is. Vercel: Our hosting provider. Vercel may process server logs that include IP addresses for security and performance purposes, as is standard for web hosting. Google AI (Gemini): When you use the image scanning feature, product photos are sent to Google's Gemini API for text extraction. Google's API usage policies apply to this processing. No images are stored after processing.

Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data through our analytics, there is no personal data to retain or delete. Contact form messages are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under data protection laws including GDPR and CCPA. Since PoreChecker collects minimal personal data, most data subject requests are not applicable. However, if you have any concerns or requests regarding your data, please contact us.

Children's Privacy
